Connexion Point (Growth Track) was designed to help you transform into a thriving disciple of Jesus by helping you to know God more deeply, grow in community, and make a difference in the world around you. Each part of the track is designed to help you find opportunities to help you invest in your spiritual growth, connect with the life of the church, practice the essentials of a healthy, flourishing faith, and grow in community alongside others.
DISCIPLESHIP IS NOT A STRAIGHT LINE, OR A CHECK THE BOX APPROACH TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH. IT IS A LIFE-LONG SPIRIT-FILLED JOURNEY OF LEARNING TO LIVE AND LOVE LIKE JESUS, AND HELPING OTHERS DO THE SAME. WHY IS WATER BAPTISM AN IMPORTANT NEXT STEP?
Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes leaving your old life behind and walking in the newness of life (Acts 2:41, Romans 6:4).
It’s an opportunity to say “YES” to God and invite the Holy Spirit to continue shaping you into the likeness of Jesus.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER BAPTISM?
Once you’ve taken this step, keep growing! Attend a Connexion Group to discover your unique purpose, Join a Group to build meaningful relationships, or start serving to make a difference. These next steps help you continue developing your faith and living as a disciple of Jesus in everyday life.
WHY ARE GROUPS IMPORTANT TO DISCIPLESHIP?
Groups are where discipleship becomes real. They're the weekly practice of growing closer to Jesus in community. At Connexus Community, we value authentic relationships that strengthen and encourage us along the journey at faith. Through Connexion Groups, you'll build lasting friendships, grow spiritually, and be more equipped to represent Jesus in your daily life.
HOW CAN I SERVE AND USE MY GIFTS AT CONNEXUS COMMUNITY?
We believe we look most like Jesus when we serve others (Matthew 20:28). Every person has unique gifts and talents meant to make a difference.
