Jonathan Vaughn
Lead Pastor
From a young child, Pastor Jonathan, or PJ, felt the call of God on his life. He has seen the Lord guide him through many challenges along his ministerial journey. He began preaching at 6 years old. By the age of 16, Jonathan was given the opportunity to travel to Africa to preach during a mission’s trip.
Pastor & Sis. Brianna are a natives of Summerville, SC. Pastor has a B.A. degree in Youth Ministry & Christian Leadership from Charleston Southern University in 2009 and received his Master of Arts Degree in Human Service Counseling from Liberty University in 2017.
Sis. Brianna is also a graduate of Charleston Southern University with both a B.S. and a M.S.N. degree in Nursing. She is a full time nurse, while also the director of Pre-School Ministries here at Connexus.
Pastor and Sis. Brianna have one son, Micah, and are awaiting the arrival of a soon-to-be baby boy arriving in April 2026.
Pastor Jonathan is an ordained bishop in the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee.
As a long-time native of Summerville, SC, Pastor Jonathan has a vision to reach the surrounding, and growing, communities for Jesus Christ.
“My heartfelt desire is to reach the lost, disciple the saved, and develop the labors to reach the world for Jesus Christ. I want help people realize that being a Christian is the best decision one can ever make and they should always ‘be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within them’” (I Peter 3:15).
